Congratulations to Rajneesh Narain on his appointment as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), effective 14 July.
With more than three decades of distinguished experience in finance, corporate governance, and strategic leadership across India’s coal and railway sectors, Rajneesh brings a wealth of expertise to this pivotal role. Having recently assumed the position of Director (Finance) at IRCTC, his elevation to CFO reflects the organization’s confidence in his financial acumen and leadership capabilities.
Prior to joining IRCTC, Rajneesh served as Director (Finance) at Northern Coalfields and held several senior finance leadership positions at South Eastern Coalfields, where he played a key role in corporate accounting, financial management, and business diversification initiatives. He also spent six years as Chief Financial Officer of Chhattisgarh East Railway and Chhattisgarh East West Railway, overseeing financial operations, governance, and strategic financial planning.
As CFO, Rajneesh will lead IRCTC’s financial strategy, overseeing fund management, budgeting, contract management, regulatory accounting, and financial governance. His leadership comes at an important time as IRCTC continues to strengthen its digital capabilities, expand its tourism and hospitality businesses, and accelerate growth beyond its core railway catering operations.
His extensive experience in managing large-scale public sector finances and driving operational excellence positions him well to support IRCTC’s next phase of innovation and sustainable growth.
Wishing Rajneesh Narain every success in his new role and continued achievements as he helps shape IRCTC’s financial future.
